The Life of a Medium Empath

Ms. L. has passed away at the age of 80. She was a deeply sensitive woman who possessed a wealth of spiritual knowledge and had a fascinating spiritual journey. From a young age, she identified as an empath as well as a psychic medium. She developed her mediumship and psychic ability at a very young age.

Her journey was filled with numerous learning experiences, some of which were quite challenging. Throughout her life, she gained extensive spiritual insight. In addition to sensing the spirit energy surrounding people, she could feel and understand others' emotions.

I was grateful to her for sharing her spiritual experiences and for the many deep spiritual conversations we had when she was alive.

Below is her story.

The Spiritual Awakening

"When I was young, terms such as psychic medium, mental medium, intuitive abilities, clairvoyant mediums, and empath medium were not part of my spiritual vocabulary. My spiritual vocabulary consisted of spirits, spirit guides, mediums, and spirit gatherings (veladas). It was when I got older that such terms began to have meaning for me.

"I recall having my first spiritual experience at the age of four. I vividly remember my mother coming to my room to say goodnight and turning off the lights. Suddenly, I would see these beautiful colored lights moving above me, which I now recognize as orbs. They would come and keep me company every night until I fell asleep, and I was never afraid. I was too young and naive to know it wasn't normal, so I never told my mother.

"Aside from sensing orbs, I had a unique ability to perceive things that others couldn't see or feel. I remember telling my mother about a visiting neighbor, mentioning that she was very sad because she had lost an unborn baby. At the time, no one knew that the woman had experienced a miscarriage a few months prior. Later, my mother found out that the neighbor was struggling with her loss. That was the first time I remember sensing others' pain."

My First Velada (Spiritual Gathering)

"I was approximately five years old when I attended my first velada, a spiritual gathering. I sat quietly on my mother's lap, observing everything around me with curious eyes. Although I didn’t fully comprehend what was happening around me, I watched intently, utterly fascinated by the gestures and movements of the spiritual mediums, who seemed to channel something beyond our world.

"During my early teenage years, I began having profound spiritual encounters that began to shape my understanding of the universe. I discovered the phenomenon of astral travel, although the details of those experiences are a blur in my memory, I know they were quite profound.

"It was about this time that I began to develop a heightened sensitivity to the emotions of others. Whether it was a friend’s unspoken pain or the quiet joy of a visiting loved one from the spirit world. It was quite profound and overwhelming at times.

"As the years went by, the spiritual world around me continued to unfold, offering insights and connections that shaped my journey."

The Dream

"When I was eleven years old, I had a mind-blowing dream that took place in a distant land, likely India or a similar place.

"In the dream, I was a female beggar dressed in filthy rags. Before my life as an outcast, I had been the wife of a wealthy man. Due to a wrongful act I committed, I was banished from my home and forced to live in poverty.

"While begging for food, I noticed a festival nearby. Suddenly, a man on an elephant appeared—it was my husband. I ran to him and begged for his forgiveness.

"He came down from the elephant and approached me, but with immense anger and hatred in his eyes, he pushed me to the ground.

"That was the end of the dream. The dream was so meaningful. It gave rise to the concept of past lives and foretold future events.

"Later on, I would meet the man from my dream, and he would become my husband."

Meeting of Souls

"A year later, I was at a party when a young man walked in. He looked to be around 18 years old and had a striking resemblance to the man from my dream.

"I could hardly believe my eyes. Since I was still quite young at the time, nothing happened between us.

"When I was fifteen, we met again. He had grown into the handsome man that young girls dream of meeting.

"Despite my age, we began dating in secret. I was very much in love."

The Spiritual Consultation

"During the early stages of our relationship, I recall visiting a spirit medium for a consultation. The medium was an elderly woman who was legally blind, and she lived with her husband in very modest conditions.

"The woman began by telling me, "My child, you are in a relationship that is going nowhere. It will only bring you great suffering. You are young and have so much potential. Leave that man before it is too late." She also spoke about my spiritual gifts and how I would be tested in the future.

"When the consultation ended, I felt compelled to give her some money for her services. However, she stopped me and said, "No, take the money and buy something for yourself."

"I left her apartment feeling disappointed. I had hoped to hear her say, "He is great and wonderful, and you will live happily ever after," just like in fairy tales. Instead, I received the opposite advice. In time, her words would prove to be true.

"I realized that I was not Cinderella, and he was not my Prince Charming."

Marriage

"Instead of listening to the woman's advice, I got married when I was sixteen.

"By the time I was seventeen, I was the mother of a baby girl. Two years later, I gave birth to another daughter. My marriage lasted four years.

"The relationship was a love-hate situation— I loved him, but he seemed to hate me.

"Like the dream, I felt as though I was being punished, although I didn't understand why. It seemed he despised me for no reason."

My Spiritual Development

"Amidst the emotional turmoil in my life, I found solace in attending a series of spiritual gatherings. At that time, I was desperately seeking guidance and comfort, and these gatherings offered more than I could have ever anticipated—providing a safe space for healing and connection.

'I was seventeen when I first experienced spirit coming through me during a particularly spiritual gathering session held at my mother's house. As the gathering began, I felt a peculiar, unsettling sensation bubbling up inside me. It was unlike anything I had ever encountered—new, strange, and overwhelming.

"As the session unfolded, this sensation grew more intense, manifesting as a powerful vibration coursing through my body. It felt as if the very essence of spirit was trying to take over, and I could feel my physical self surrendering to an unseen force.

"Fortunately, a spirit medium with significant experience and wisdom was present at the gathering. Sensing my struggle, he gently stepped in to assist me through the process. Almost immediately, I could feel the spirit's energy flowing through me, and before long, it began to communicate through my voice.

"Throughout the channeling, I experienced a unique state of semi-consciousness, where my awareness was just faint enough that I remembered very little of what transpired. The unforgettable experience would profoundly impact my understanding of spirituality and my place within it."

Connecting with My Spirit Team

"I continued to attend spiritual gatherings where small groups would gather. In these sessions, I found myself not only feeling the deep pain and sorrow of those present but also the energy of the spirits that surrounded us.
This ability to connect with both the living and the spirit world allowed me to assist people in healing and finding guidance.

"Over time, my connection with my spirit guides grew stronger. I discovered that during quiet moments, when I would sit down with paper and pencil, I could channel their energy through art. I found myself sketching a wide range of images, most of which portrayed my spirit guides in various forms. Each drawing became a reflection of the wisdom and support they offered me, and the process of creating those images deepened my understanding of our connection."

"In addition, I would write messages from spirits. Whenever they directed me to write or draw, immense spirit energy would travel all over my body, especially my hand. The more I engaged in spiritual work and attended spiritual gatherings, the more connected to spirits I became.

"I continued working with my guides for several years. Although I was experiencing many problems, I remained faithful to my guides."

"Because I would pick up the energy of other people and spirits, I always meditated, grounded myself, and cleansed with spiritual baths. That helped me a lot."

Life Changes

"I remarried despite the disapproval of my guides. The marriage did not last long. I became a widow.

"Years after losing my second husband, I met and married a wonderful man. He was the love of my life. Before my marriage, my departed grandmother appeared to me in a dream. She warned me not to marry. Ignoring the warning, I married."

Pulling Away from My Spirit Team

"Even though my husband and his family were believers in spirits, I began pulling away from spiritism. I no longer wanted to be part of it. At times, they would gather for spiritual sessions. Although I was always invited, I refused to attend. The spirit world was no longer part of my life.

"To this very day, I cannot understand the reasons for my actions. Perhaps I felt I had attained happiness and needed nothing else, or did not want to hear what they had to say. I don't really know."

"Despite still feeling others' emotions, I decided to ignore them.

Tragedies

Even though my husband was a good loving man, my story did not have a happy, everlasting ending. After a few years, he developed cancer and died.

"Throughout the many tragedies in my life, I always had the spiritual fortitude needed to move on. However, when my last husband passed away, I felt utterly lonely. I no longer felt the spirit energy around me. I felt an immense inner emptiness.

"After my husband's death, my life began to take a drastic turn. I became entangled in a web of loneliness and despair. Although my youngest daughter became my savior, she, too, died unexpectedly."

Trying to Re-capture Past Spiritual Connection

"I tried desperately to connect with my spirit team but to no avail. I felt they had abandoned me. I felt, saw, or heard nothing. I was paying the price for rejecting them.

"After many years, I have finally been blessed once again. I have begun to connect with my guides. Although it is not the same as before, I am grateful to God for a second chance. I wasted so much time."

Conclusion

"My biggest mistake in life was rejecting my mediumship. I made a foolish decision and paid a heavy price for my rejection.

Could my life have turned out differently if I had continued with my spiritual mission? I don't know. What I do know is that my burdens would have been lighter to bear with the support of my spirit guides.

For those on a spiritual path, stay strong. Don’t make the same mistakes I did. Seek spiritual assistance, attend gatherings for spiritual enlightenment and growth, and remain faithful to God and your spirit guides.

Remember, the journey to medium empath is not easy. It's a slow process that requires a lot of patience and faith. The key is not to give up. In the end, you will be grateful that you persevered.
